Royal British Legion Remembrance Service

Every Livery Company in the City supports the Royal British Legion, and all the Masters and Clerks are invited to attend the RBL's annual ceremony at their Garden of Remembrance in the churchyard of St Paul's Cathedral. On the morning of Monday 7 November, the Bowyers' Master and Clerk duly assembled for this ceremony, which involves all the Livery Masters in turn coming forward in threes to place a small cross and poppy in the Garden, in the presence of the Lord Mayor and Sheriffs, the Dean of St Paul's, the British Legion Standards and the Band of the Welsh Guards. It was a most moving occasion.
