Garden of Remembrance at St Paul's Cathedral

Each year on the Monday morning before Remembrance Sunday, all Livery Company Masters and Clerks gather in St Paul's Cathedral Churchyard for the Royal British Legion's annual City ceremony at which each Master, together with the Lord Mayor and other civic and military leaders, plants a small cross and poppy in the RBL's Garden of Remembrance. It is always a most moving occasion, and was particularly well accompanied this year by the Band of the Scots Guards and an exemplary Last Post, together with stirring words from Air Marshal David Walker CB CBE AFC MA, National President of the Royal British Legion.
