Bowyers' Longbow Plate Day
Bowyers Longbow Plate Day takes place in July each year. Archers compete for perpetual trophies donated by the Worshipful Company of Bowyers, but otherwise pay their own way for the day.
The Salvers, for the Highest Scores, were presented by Past Master Anthony Wood to commemorate or celebrate the Society's Bi-Centenary (1981); the Most Hits coasters were presented by individual Masters Bowyers, the men's by Tim Hardy, and the ladies' by Christopher Ballenden. In 2006 the then Master Peter Seaton presented two silver goblets to be presented to the lady and gentlemen who scored the most golds.
